The Mandolele

I settled on a 20 inch scale which determined the neck and body length and is close enough to be considered both for a baritone Uke and an octive Mandolin.

Jumping ahead to the gluing of the bridge.

This Tail view shows the semi-hidden ball ends of the strings along the back of my first try at a pin-less bridge. Also, a good look at the redwood burl birdseye at the curved end graft.

Here is an Mp3 recording of the Mandolele. I recorded this piece with two microphones and no effects or treatments to the sound. Please excuse my technique as I am still getting used to this instrument and I also tend to make up stuff and play what comes out of my head.
